Earlier today, MP&F Vice President Javier Solano led an online “diversity chat,” presented by the Nashville chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Solano, also the vice president of the Tennessee Latin American Chamber of Commerce, was the guest expert during a Facebook Live discussion about diversity and inclusion initiatives in the communications industry. Marine Week, the Corps’ largest community outreach event of the year, was held in Nashville, Sept. 7–11. MP&F had the honor and pleasure of working with the Corps on this large-scale project. Metro Government, WGU Tennessee Sign Letter of Agreement

The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County has approved a letter of agreement with WGU Tennessee, the online, nonprofit university brought to the state as part of Gov. Bill Haslam’s Drive to 55 initiative. Resolution 198 creates an official partnership whereby WGU Tennessee will offer tuition discounts to Nashville’s more than 9,200 Metropolitan Government employees should they choose to enroll. “This partnership with WGU Tennessee offers Metro employees a great opportunity to get their first or second degree in a learning environment that works around their schedule,” said Mayor Megan Barry. “We appreciate WGU Tennessee’s commitment to providing a …

The 2016 Music City Gold Pen Awards took place on Thursday, May 19. There are dozens of award categories, which recognize effective communications projects and campaigns across middle Tennessee and southeastern Kentucky. MP&F took home 13 International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Awards of Excellence and five Awards of Merit.
