MP&F Public Relations has, not one, but two people named to the prestigious Nashville Business Journal Power 100 list this year.

Partner Katy Varney and Account Supervisor and Metro Councilman Colby Sledge were named to the Power 100, now in its second year. Varney also made the 2015 list.

The NBJ looked at Nashvillians who have the biggest impact in the business community by wielding influence through their connections, positions or wealth.

In the listing, NBJ wrote of Varney:

… As a partner at one of the city’s most prominent public relations firms, it’s Katy Varney’s job to shape the story of Nashville. And in doing so, her network of connections is a who’s who of Nashville’s business and political circles …

Regarding Sledge, NBJ said:

… There are 40 members on Metro Council, and there are a lot of reasons why Colby Sledge is the one to watch. Sledge, a PR professional who’s in his early 30s, is positioned to have a lot of influence, by extension of everything happening or looming for his district …

Earlier this year, MP&F Partner David Fox was named for the second consecutive year to the Nashville Post’s In Charge list (the late Mike Pigott was named to the 2015 list), while founding partner Mark McNeely was recently honored with the Nashville Emerging Leader 2016 Impact Award by YP Nashville and the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce.
