She held senior communications roles for the U.S. Senate and in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, where she crafted messages and strategies to navigate high-profile and often contentious issues.
Emily’s work has been featured by outlets and publications of all sizes, from local news stations to the New York Times. Her background includes public affairs, speechwriting, crisis communications, earned media strategies and thought leadership.
Emily is a Kentucky native and University of Tennessee alumna.
