Saladworks to Celebrate Opening of Franchise’s First Tennessee Restaurant

By Brooke Kelly

saladworks-logoSaladworks, the nation’s first and largest fresh-tossed salad franchise concept, will celebrate the grand opening of its new store at The Shoppes at Thoroughbred Square in Cool Springs on Wednesday, Nov. 12. This will be Tennessee’s first Saladworks franchise location.

“The Cool Springs area is red-hot with a tremendous amount of commercial and residential growth,” said Brian Fox, franchise owner. “We feel we couldn’t have chosen a better location to introduce our new fast-casual concept in Middle Tennessee. We think the area’s booming business community will appreciate our online ordering, delivery and catering options, particularly.”

The store at 600 Frazier Drive is owned and operated by Bowling Green, Ky.-based franchise ownersBrian Fox and Howard Harmon, who considered many areas for Tennessee’s first Saladworks.

The Shoppes at Thoroughbred Square location will open with $5 signature salads and $8 carvery salads, for a limited time. Other grand-opening festivities include hourly gift card giveaways and ‘15 percent off’ coupons for the first 100 customers.

Saladworks customers can choose from 12 suggested ‘signature salads,’ or customize their meal with more than 60 ingredients chopped fresh in-store daily. The Cool Springs Saladworks location also offers the new Saladworks carvery menu, adding hot and freshly grilled, hand-carved proteins to the menu. Catering and delivery options are also available.

“We’ve set a reasonable minimum delivery order at $25 so that busy professionals in the area have access to fresh, healthy food without having to step out of the office,” said Harmon.

The Cool Springs Saladworks is open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. It will employ 30 to 35 people.

“Cool Springs is filled with discerning, health-conscious diners with a keen eye for fresh, great-tasting food,” said Chairman and CEO John Scardapane. “Whether they are lifelong residents, business people or students of the area, we have no doubt that our fanatical commitment to freshness and quality ingredients will make a tremendous impact on the people of Franklin, Tennessee. We look forward to this being our first of many successful restaurants in the area.”
