“Hustle for the House is a great way to support Ronald McDonald House Charities,” said Liz Piercy, RMHC of Nashville’s executive director. “We’re hoping to raise funds to allow even more families to stay close to their sick child in the hospital.”

Participants are encouraged to run in teams with family or friends. Benefits of forming teams include early packet pickup, the option of wearing team or company names on race day, the pleasure of creating a team page, and prizes.

Prizes will be awarded to participants and teams. Qualifications for prizes include the team with the most members, the team or individual who raises the most money, and a random new registrant. Winning teams will be featured on Ronald McDonald House Charities of Nashville’s Facebook and Twitter pages and in an e-newsletter.

The House encourages companies to consider sponsorship. Packages are available and range from $200 to $10,000. Company names and logos will be featured on Hustle for the House publicity materials, T-shirts and entry forms.

Proceeds from Hustle for the House support the Ronald McDonald House and the Ronald McDonald Family Room, located on the fifth floor of the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. The funds make it possible for RMHC of Nashville to serve all families, regardless of their ability to pay.

Sponsors include McDonald’s of Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky, Jackson National Insurance, Nashville’s News 2, Nashville Alpha Delta Pi Alumni Association, MARS Petcare, Liz and Phillip Piercy, Aegis Sciences Corporation, Littlejohn, Old Harding Pediatric Associates, Sports Seasons, Vi-Jon, Inc., USA King’s Crossing and Athlete’s House.
