The Progressive® Insurance Nashville Boat & Sportshow®, Tennessee’s premier boating event, is bringing a taste of summer to Nashville’s Music City Center with four days of nautical fun Jan. 19–22. This year’s show has over 180,000 square feet of boats, accessories, educational opportunities, and fun for all ages and experience levels. Visitors to the 2017 show can also enjoy a number of attractions, including live music on Friday, Jan. 20, and Saturday, Jan. 21!
“The annual boat and sportshow has been a tradition in Nashville for more than 30 years, and we’re excited to bring more than 300 boats into the Music City Center this year,” said show manager Kim Muncy. “We can’t wait to give visitors even more reasons to celebrate life on the water and start planning for summer 2017!”
The 2017 show will feature many attractions and additions. Pate’s Ford Marina will bring their popular Fish Lipz Grill to the Music City Center, where attendees can stay full and refreshed with icy cold beverages and catfish dinners. Pate’s Ford will also host live local musicians Friday from 4–8 p.m. and Saturday from 12–8 p.m.
Kids and families will have many options for fun and entertainment, including a free catch-and-release trout pond. Attendees of all ages are invited to try their hand at virtual fishing and the Power Squadron Boating Simulator on the Progressive® Flomotion, an indoor staged yacht.
Educational opportunities abound at the show this year, with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency on hand with everything you need to know about the outdoors, boating and fishing. They will also offer Boater Education Class Certification on Saturday.
Attendees can also learn how to fine-tune their boats and engines from the experts at Fred’s Shed DIY, and the all-new Paddlesports 101 offers an introductory workshop on the outdoor fitness craze that’s sweeping the nation.
