We are intentional about the attention we give to our office culture. We want our team to be happy and fully engaged in our business. In the end, our clients reap the benefits.

One centerpiece of our culture is our annual staff retreat. It is, and I say so confidently, the most highly anticipated MP&F event of the year.

Retreat gives us a chance to take a collective breath to celebrate our clients’ successes, to bond and review the ups and downs of the past year. Perhaps more importantly, as a group that is obsessive about planning and delivering results, we discuss our company’s goals for the coming year and determine how we can continue to improve the service we provide our clients and succeed as a business.

Since we operate transparently and because we’re so darn proud of our office culture and the people who make us the company we are, we wanted to share several photos from this year’s retreat, 90 minutes northeast of Nashville at Barren River Lake State Park.

We were beyond privileged to have as our special guest, Tom Hoog, a good friend of the firm, and one of the most honored and highly respected communications professional in the U.S. A former CEO of Hill + Knowlton, Navy aviator, and presidential campaign strategist, Tom generously shared his time and insights with us over the course of two days.

 We held a creative exercise called ‘Blackout Poetry’ where we each had a newspaper, found a grouping of text, and put together a sequence of words that created a poem of our own taste, humor and liking. Pictured is MP&Fer Lindsey Ganson.
