Hermitage to Host “Pinot with the President”

By MP&F Staff

Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage will be open for evening access and sunset wagon rides as part of its “Pinot With the President” event Tuesday, July 10, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Guests are invited to enjoy horse-drawn sunset wagon tours and quiet walks around the grounds of the house. Wine, cheese and hors d’oeuvres will be offered in the picturesque formal garden before and after guests’ tours of the grounds, while the first floor of the mansion will be open throughout the evening.
“The historic and scenic beauty of The Hermitage completely shifts as the sun sets,” said Howard J. Kittel, president and CEO of Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage. “Our guests who have experienced the mansion and garden during the day will be enchanted by The Hermitage at twilight.”
Tickets to the event will be $20 for Hermitage members and $30 for non-members. Guests can arrive anytime during the event, with the last wagon tour leaving at 8 p.m. Admission includes one drink ticket per person, with additional drinks available for purchase. Admission does not include access to the museum or multimedia tour.

If the event is rained out, The Hermitage will announce and reschedule/refund as needed. Additional information on the event or becoming a member of The Hermitage is available at thehermitage.com.
