Happy Tales Golf Tourney at The Grove to Raise Funds for New Shelter

By MP&F Staff

Supporters of Happy Tales Humane, Franklin’s only no-kill animal shelter, will tee off at The Grove on Monday, Sept. 22, to raise funds for the organization’s new facility.

“The Happy Tales Charity Golf Tournament at The Grove is in its third year, and this event promises to be even better than last year’s,” Happy Tales board chairman Mark Enderle said. “This is an exciting time for Happy Tales, and the funds raised during the tournament will support the move to our new facility at Berry Farms.”

A pre-tournament lunch begins at 11 a.m. and the scramble-style event opens with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Ticket price is $350 and includes single-player admission to the tournament, which will be played on The Grove’s 18-hole Greg Norman Signature Golf Course.

Also included in the $350 price are two tickets to an evening at The Grove on Sept. 21, the night before the tournament. The evening event will include a special menu created by Chef Jim O’Connor, live music and a silent auction.

Team sponsorships are available for $1,750 and include a foursome for the tournament and eight tickets to the evening event at The Grove.

All proceeds will go to Happy Tales and its work. More information about tickets and pricing can be found at happytaleshumane.com. To RSVP, contact Chris McCord at (615) 368-3950 or cmccord@groveliving.com. The event is sponsored by The Grove and The Jaeckle Center.

About Happy Tales Humane

Happy Tales Humane was founded in 1996 to establish Tennessee’s first no-kill animal shelter. HTH operated as a “virtual shelter,” housing all animals in dedicated foster homes until 2000, when a shelter for the cats was opened in The Factory at Franklin. HTH is a private, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) animal shelter. All of its funding is through tax-deductible donations. The new Berry Farms facility will be located at 4001 Hughes Crossing, Suite 161, by late October. More information can be found at happytaleshumane.com.
