Condado Tacos Announces New Location at Capitol View

By MP&F Staff

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 21, 2020)Condado Tacos, the popular Ohio-based Mexican restaurant known for its tacos, tequila and margaritas, will open its first Tennessee location at Capitol View in the second quarter of 2021.

Condado Tacos opened its first location in Columbus, Ohio, in 2014. Since its founding, the brand has grown to include 19 locations in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Michigan and, with the opening of the Capitol View location, Tennessee.

“The entire Condado Tacos team is thrilled to be opening our first Tennessee location at Capitol View,” said Scott Shotter, president of Condado Tacos. “We look forward to being part of the thriving Nashville community and sharing a new dining experience with the Capitol View district. The compelling mix of office and residential space made Capitol View an easy choice.”

Each Condado Tacos restaurant boasts a unique design that is inspired by the local community. For the new location, Condado’s team will complete extensive research to develop a theme that encompasses Nashville’s thriving environment. The brand then assembles a team of local artists to hand-paint floor-to-ceiling street art throughout every inch of the restaurant, including every wall, bar top and bathroom. The Capitol View location will also offer an outdoor patio.

“Condado Tacos is a great addition to Capitol View, and we can’t wait for them to open their doors in the district,” said Mark Traylor, partner of Boyle Investment Company. “We’re confident Nashvillians will love the experience Condado Tacos offers. Capitol View has been a big proponent of including public art in the district, and Condado Tacos’ commitment to working with local employees and artists fits perfectly with our vision.”

Condado Tacos offers an innovative approach to the dining experience with dine-in and carry-out options. Their build-your-own-taco concept allows customers to choose exactly what they want, from the toppings and the protein all the way to the creatively stuffed taco shell. They also offer vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options and emphasize fresh ingredients with no freezers in any of their restaurants. The restaurant also features a full bar with a large assortment of 100 percent blue agave tequilas and signature margaritas.

Capitol View is the first full-scale, mixed-use urban community in downtown Nashville. The district brought the first full-service grocery store to downtown with the opening of Publix in 2019, developed the first greenspace in the Gulch area, Trolley Park, and created the 2.5-acre Frankie Pierce Park that connects to the nearly 100-mile greenway system in Davidson County.

Condado Tacos join several retailers at Capitol View, including Central BBQ, Clean Juice, Club Pilates, Drybar, HOTBOX, MassageLuxe, M.L.Rose, Publix, Rukus Cycling Studios, Starbucks, SVM Boutique and Your Pie. The district also includes The Residences at Capitol View, a 378-unit multifamily luxury residential community, the 169-room Hampton Inn, and the corporate offices of HCA Healthcare, HealthStream, LifeWay and ProviderTrust.
