Marine Week Nashville closes on Sunday, Sept. 11, with the city’s largest 9/11 ceremony to date, a demonstration of Marine Corps aircraft and equipment near the Cumberland River, and the Marines’ joining forces with the Tennessee Titans for the start of the National Football League season. The public is invited to join the Marines and community leaders at War Memorial Plaza from 9–10 a.m. for a remembrance ceremony in honor of the 15th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. More than 700 Marines are headed to Music City! MP&F Public Relations is working with the United States Marine Corps on their largest community outreach event of the year: Marine Week from Sept. 7 to 11. The events will feature hands-on displays, live demonstrations, time-honored Marine Corps traditions, an array of musical performances by the Marines and other artists, and additional events to showcase the history, military capabilities and community involvement of the Corps.
