Happy New Year. May 2016 be productive and rewarding. MP&F partner Andrew Maraniss, author of Strong Inside: Perry Wallace and the Collision of Race and Sports in the South, was recently interviewed by Mayor Karl Dean before an audience of 140 guests at Parnassus Books in Nashville. The interview was featured in the Nov. 25 edition of Shelf Awareness: Daily Enlightenment for the Book Trade. Strong Inside tells the story of the man who enrolled at Vanderbilt University in 1966 and became the first African American basketball player in the Southeastern Conference.
