By MP&F Staff

Nashville SC InternshipNashville SC has announced that the professional soccer club has partnered with Conexión Américas and Belmont University to launch an internship program for those interested in building a career in professional soccer.

“We’re extremely fortunate and excited to partner with two strong Nashville institutions in Conexión Américas and Belmont University,” said Nashville SC CEO Court Jeske. “Our interns will receive hands-on experience in every aspect of running a professional soccer club.

This sport is the world’s game, and we want to provide opportunities for those students who want to be a part of it right here in Nashville.”

The interns will assist with Nashville SC communications, sales and administration during their stints with the club and have already begun working at the Nashville SC offices.

“Nashville SC’s early commitment to our students represents everything we hope for in a community partner,” said Josefina Boneo, College Access Program coordinator for Conexión Américas. “Our students are excited to help Nashville SC create a welcoming soccer club that earns support throughout the city.”

The internship program comes a few months after Nashville SC launched its first local partnership, creating T-shirt designs with philanthropic apparel company Project 615.

“Our graduate students are going to get invaluable experience with a professional sports team making deep inroads in a top-tier market,” said Dr. Ted Peetz, Master of Sport Administration director, Belmont University Department of Sports Science. “They’re going to be part of laying the foundation for an incredibly local professional franchise, which is almost as exciting to me as it will be for them.”
Nashville SC will begin play in the United Soccer League in March 2018. For more information, visit NashvilleSC.com.
