Namon Pope joined the MP&F team as an account coordinator in May 2022 after completing a spring internship the same year. He graduated summa cum laude with a degree in integrated marketing communication from Harding University in 2021.
While in college, Namon served several roles across campus, including president of Harding’s Black Student Association and assistant photographer for the university’s newspaper, for which he won several student photojournalism awards. During his senior year, Namon conducted research with the McNair Scholars program that analyzed the effectiveness of university marketing tactics directed toward minority students. His article “Seeing Campus in Color: Visual Representation of Black Students and its Effect on Enrollment at Predominantly White, Faith-Based Universities” was published in the fall 2021 edition of The Florida Communication Journal.
When he’s not in the office writing press releases and social media calendars, Namon enjoys traveling to new places, visiting national parks, singing, finding new and interesting restaurants in Nashville, and researching tiny homes.
