At the annual Public Relations Society of America award show tonight in New York, MP&F Partner Alice Chapman accepted the award on behalf of our client, the Tennessee Grocers & Convenience Store Association. It was the second national award for the seven-year effort, and came after the work won Best of Show at the Nashville PRSA Chapter award competition in April. Last month, it won in the Public Affairs category at the Holmes Report Sabre Awards competition in New York.

RWF Silver AnvilThe wine campaign included assisting in building public support for passage of enabling legislation in the Tennessee General Assembly, a successful petition signing campaign in 78 municipalities, and then overwhelming passage of the measure in every place it was on the ballot last fall.

This year’s competition drew a total of 804 entries and MP&F’s was one of 136 chosen as finalists.

Last year’s success included assists by MP&F’s partners in the Tennessee Public Relations Alliance – the Carter Malone Group in Memphis, Hispanic Marketing Group in Nashville, Moxley Carmichael Public
Relations in Knoxville and Q Strategies in Chattanooga.

“It was MP&F’s sixth national Silver Anvil award and we are proud to have won more of these special prizes than any other Tennessee firm,” said MP&F Senior Partner Mark McNeely, who also attended the event.
