Jim Surface joined MP&F in May 2020 and specializes in digital marketing with a focus on social media after a three-year stint with Drive Social Media, where he drove significant growth for a wide variety of clients including Fleet Feet Nashville, Mayday Brewery and the Music City Bowl. He is most proud of being a significant contributor to the rapid growth of Orangetheory Fitness, providing data analytics and social media consultation to over 600 studios internationally and leading to its Franchise Times 2018 ranking as the United States’ fastest-growing franchise.
While working at Drive, Jim obtained his Master of Science degree in strategic communications from the Brian Lamb School of Communication at Purdue University in 2017.
A Nashville native, Jim attended Martin Luther King Jr. Academic Magnet High School – go, Royals! – and is an avid sports enthusiast, especially of Ultimate Frisbee. Until 2018, he served as the director of Gameday Communications for the AUDL’s Nashville NightWatch (men’s) and now volunteers for the PUL’s Nashville NightShade (women’s). A lifelong Vanderbilt basketball fan, Jim was a ball boy for the women’s team during its late ’90s competitive years and loved attending the intense games against Pat Summitt and her esteemed University of Tennessee teams.
