MP&F is celebrating 30 years in business, and we realize that most anniversary news is met with responses like:

  • Oh, really?
  • That’s nice.
  • Yes, I got the release. No, my readers don’t care.
  • Shoot … I forgot. I’m sorry, honey. Yes, I’ll do the dishes. No, I wasn’t watching the game. I love Gilmore Girls … will you turn up the volume?

So … for one part of our yearlong celebration, we will be holding regular events to engage the community. For example, we’ve just kicked off our “View From 30 Lunch Series,” a free, quarterly lunchtime professional development series focused on effective communications tactics (click here to join our invitation list). Storytelling for Results, our first session, was held this month and was facilitated by MP&F senior account supervisor, Dan Schlacter, and account supervisor, Lauren Ward.

Dan and Lauren led an interactive group discussion on how to combine individual expertise, corporate messaging, personal anecdotes and calls to action, to achieve strategic organizational goals. Or, to put it another way, they spoke about stories that get things done.

Sales. Advocacy. Advertising. Recruitment. Reporting. Transparency. These are just a few of the objectives a cohesive brand story can achieve.
