Evan Wofford joined MP&F in March 2016. He graduated cum laude from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, S.C., in 2012 with a degree in mass communication and a minor in religious studies.

In school, Evan worked at the university’s radio and TV stations, producing and hosting programs. A member of Kappa Tau Alpha, the journalism and mass communication honor society, he received an award from the Radio Television Digital News Association of the Carolinas for the best student sportscast in 2012. He also interned at public radio station WFAE-FM in Charlotte, N.C., where he helped produce local talk show “Charlotte Talks.”

After graduation, he worked at Ivanhoe Broadcast News in Orlando, Fla., overseeing the monthly production of two series of TV news packages for local stations across the country, writing news updates for the website and client stations and assisting with social media. He also worked part time backstage at the “Terminator 2” show at Universal Studios.

Evan moved to Nashville after spending time in Philadelphia and Greenville, S.C., where he managed social media channels for the Barbara Stone Foundation, worked at a used bookstore and helped craft communication for local political candidates. When not working, he can be found watching or reading about soccer, listening to LPs while wishing he had more, or waking up early to go running.
