MP&F Public Relations has launched a new integrated marketing service line and has named Knight Stivender as its first director of integrated marketing.
Stivender, who most recently was with Alcott Marketing Science, has more than 20 years of experience in communications. Before joining Alcott, Stivender was an award-winning journalist and editor of engagement and digital at The Tennessean. She also served as general manager of the paper’s 12th & Broad platform.
Stivender has served as programming and communications chairwoman for the Nashville chapter of the American Marketing Association, and she serves on the Chick History board of directors as vice president. Stivender is also on the steering committee of the Nashville Technology Council’s analytics peer group. Stivender was the 2016 University of Tennessee alumna of the year, and she is a Pulitzer Prize finalist for breaking news. In 2015, she was named Gannett’s Innovator of the Year.

Stivender graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee, where she majored in journalism and was the 1999 Ernie Pyle Award winner for Journalism Student of the Year .
She is CEO and co-founder of Girls To The Moon, a Nashville-based social enterprise company that aims to help girls build curiosity and creativity and grow their confidence to become leaders.
