Griffin Brings New Education-Based Products to ISTE

By MP&F Staff

Griffin Technology, one of the world’s foremost creators of innovations for everyday life, will launch its new Survivor Slim for iPad Air at the 2014 International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) conference held in Atlanta, Ga., June 28-30. Developed with the needs of educators and students in mind, the new Survivor Slim combines enhanced protection with an integrated stand and a clear back panel for asset tagging.  Along with Survivor Slim, Griffin will also showcase a variety of their latest education products at the ISTE show.

“We’ve spoken to hundreds of teachers and technology directors to better understand what they need to succeed with technology in the classroom,” said Erin Whetsel, Education B2B Business Development at Griffin Technology. “With this feedback in mind we developed Survivor Slim for iPad Air to give teachers the peace of mind that their devices can stand up to the rigors of the classroom. Its clear back allows technology directors the ease of asset tagging, making it the perfect solution for iPad roll outs.”

The new Survivor Slim for iPad Air offers ultimate protection in a slender design by surrounding the device in durable, shock-absorbing silicone with a shatter-resistant shell for structural strength. All this protection is packed into a size and shape that’s easy for students to carry around and fits easily in a backpack. Survivor Slim’s low-profile form factor fits a variety of multi-device charging stations currently used in classrooms nationwide including Griffin’s own MultiDock.

Griffin’s Digital Testing Kit, Survivor for Samsung Galaxy Tab 4, and MultiDock will also be on exhibit at Griffin’s booth at ISTE. Because of the stringent digital testing requirements for educators in the classroom, Griffin is introducing a Digital Testing Kit that includes their new Wired Keyboard for iOS devices along with volume limiting headphones for private listening capability, and their military-tested rugged case, Survivor for iPad. The combination of these tools provides the essentials needed to use an iPad in the classroom. Griffin offers their Wired Keyboard in 30-pin or Lightning versions as the perfect hassle-free, secure solution for students and teachers. With freedom from Bluetooth pairing and wireless security issues, students simply connect the keyboard to their iPad and instantly their devices get the full-featured desktop keyboard required by PARCC and SBAC guidelines.

As more and more schools integrate Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1″ tablets into their classrooms, Griffin has developed their military grade Survivor for this latest Galaxy tablet. Survivor’s blend of heavy-duty protection and durability made it the best-selling rugged case for iPad in 2013, and now Griffin brings the same level of protection to the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1”.

Griffin will also be showcasing their MultiDock, a solution for securely storing, charging and syncing devices. MultiDock is available in a single 10 bay unit or a stacked 30 bay cart complete with smooth rolling wheels, handle, and a lockable laptop tray large enough to secure a 15″ MacBook Pro and its case. MultiDock is compatible with iPads, Samsung tablets and almost any other mobile device used in the classroom.

“There’s no doubt that technology continues to become more and more prevalent in the classroom, and Griffin is excited to be a part of these technological advances by designing products that make digital tools easier to use for students and teachers alike,” said Whetsel.

Griffin Technology will be located at booth #3360 at the ISTE conference. Attendees who visit the Griffin booth with their ISTE raffle ticket book will have a chance to win a MultiDock 10-bay desktop unit with 10 Survivors included (a $1,500 value). Griffin will also give away a $300 gift card to one lucky winner selected from all those who follow the @GriffinTechEd Twitter account. The gift card will be redeemable for all items available at www.griffintechnology.com.

Griffin’s education products are available through the following resellers: CDW, GovConnection, PCM, SHI and ZONES.
